The Human Resource Development and Scholarship Programme of the Myanmar Council of Churches held Ecumenical Development Seminar for the first time on 24-27 April 2008 on the premise of the Shan State Baptist Theological Seminary. There were 36 participants from Churches around Taung Gyi in cooperation with the Taung gyi Council of Churches. Rev. Dr. Yam Kho Pau (ES.HRD programme), Saya Saw Shwe Lin(ES.-SCM) and Rev. Raymond Pome Za Lyan(Communication Secretary-MCC) have imparted on Development Strategy, Organizational Management and Ecumenism at the seminar. Taung Gyi is the capital of Shan State being located over 4000fts elevation having a mild climate and beautiful scenery close to Inlay one of the most tourist attraction of the country.
