Myanmar Council of Churches will hold the 83rd Biennial General Meeting in Pyin Oo Lwin (May Myo) on May 12-16, 2010. BGM is the largest governing body of the Myanmar Council of Churches. The meeting will be attended by representatives from 14 member denominations, 11 cooperating bodies and non voting special invitees and observers from the non member Churches like Catholic Bishops Conference of Myanmar, Seven day Adventist and MCMC etc. The meeting will confirm the resolutions of the Central committee for the coming years. Reports of programmes of Departments recommended by the Executive Committee and Central Committee will be considered. Pyin Oo Lwin, known as city of flowers is a hill station located in the central region of the country having a mild climate especially in the summer (approximately 24-29 degree Celsius). Most of the plain regions of the country are very hot during the summer (March, April and May). Pyin Oo Lwin is about two hours drive from Mandalay, one of the ancient capital cities of Myanmar.
