Dr. Yam Kho Pau

 Rev. Dr.Yam Kho Pau former Executive Secretary of the Human Resource Development and Scholarship programme of the MCC has taken his position as the Associate General Secretary of the Myanmar Council of Churches with effect from 1st June 2010. Rev. Dr. James Ngun Hlei, the former AGS of the MCC completed the terms of his service to the MCC this year in May and he is now serving as Principal of the Tahan Institute of Theology in Kalaymyo.

Rev. Dr. Yam Kho Pau, 52 is from Baptist background and Associate Pastor of the Chin Baptist Church, having two daughters and two sons with his wife, Daw Hat Kho Neng. A brief education background and work experience is mentioned below. Associate General Secretary is a chief executive position of the organization and he is expected to revitalize every level of relationships both local and international for better functioning of the office as well as ecumenical movement in Myanmar.

-          Ph.D (Rural Development), Central Luzon State University, Science City of Munoz, Philippines (2004)

-          M.Sc (Pastoral Sociology), Asian Social Institute, Manila, Philippines (2000)

-          B.D, (MIT), 1995.

-          B.Th, (MIT), 1985.

 Work Experience:

-          May 1985 – May 1990 – Youth Director, (Kuki Chin Baptist Association), KCBA, cum Vice Chairman (Zomi Baptist Convention).

-          September 1, 2005 – till now (Associate Pastor, Chin Baptist Church, Yangon)

-          2005 MCC Programme Consultant

-          2008 May – Executive Secretary (full time), MCC

-          2009 – Moderator, Leadership Development Program Department, MBC.

-          Member: Judson Research Center, MIT

-          Member: D. Min Program, MIT

-          EC member: ATEM
